So I was sitting here thinking that I haven't really updated my livejournal in like, forever so I decided to. I can't believe I've been home from school for almost 2 months already! I've worked my butt off at Bordines and still continuing to do so. It's a hot and dirty job but someone has to do it...that sounded kinda bad didn't it? Oh well, it's the perfect description for working at a greenhouse!! Tomorrow I'm going to go with Chris to go see Nacho Libre or however you spell it. I'm not too sure if I want to see it or not but I'm sure it'll be funny. Hopefully. I have a day off tomorrow which I'm super excited about. I'm going to make my first 'no-sew' blanket. Guess what color it's going to be?! Well, if you knew me at all it would be pink...which it is...but the other side is black. So just solid pink and black which I think look very nice together. Well, I'm sleepy so I'm going to take a shower and go to sleep! Such an exciting life I lead huh? PS I can't wait till August 19 when I get to see all my sisters again!!! :D

Wow, I haven't updated in forever! Things have been busy...like super busy...like I never have a moment to do anything for myself cuz I'm always busy doing something else for class or people. This semester has flown by and I'm so glad it's almost over. It's been a lot of work but hopefully next semester will allow me a little more time for myself and to have fun. Other than that things have been good. This past weekend I ran for a chair in my sorority and got it which I'm super excited about. It'll be really fun and very benefitial for me. I am so excited for Christmas! I hope it snows so we can have a white Christmas. I'm sure it'll be a white Christmas here in Grand Rapids. It hasn't stopped snowing for 2 weeks. I'm not even joking. I like snow, but a little break to enjoy the snow is nice too. We're suppose to get more tonight and tomorrow...BAH! I'm so afraid I'm going to get snowed in and not be able to leave my apartment. Ok, I'm in my computer class right now and my professor brought us food...I've had like 5 cookies and 2 things of chocolate...oooooooooh well whaddia gonna do. :D Hmm..what should I make for dinner tonight? I'm thinking mashed potatoes and something...maybe chicken strips or something...boo for having to make your own dinner and not having a meal plan. It's always fun when you eat your sisters food though...like last night at Kliener. :P Thanks for the chips and guac Jenni and Dani! Oh that reminds me I need to add Dani as a livejoural buddy! :D Well, I think I'm going to pay attention in class now so it was nice updating and hope you enjoyed. Goood morning. It is such a dreary morning, but it's ok because I like mornings like this. It feels like fall and fall is my favorite season. :D
Let's see, what do I have to do today...class till 1:50 then lunch then Chris is coming over until tomorrow. We're going to dinner and movie tonight for his birthday. Then I need to get him his birthday present cuz Meijer didn't have it...stupid Meijer. >< I drove all the way out there and they didn't have it. (It's a DVD by the way) So, when we go to the mall tonight I'll buy it for him. What a horrible girlfriend am I...I don't have a birthday present for my boyfriend. Oh well, whaddia gonna do.
I'm so excited for Sunday when my parents come to visit. I want to show them what we've done to the apartment. I like seeing my parents...it still is weird not seeing them everyday. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not like homesick or anything, but it's just to be living with your parents for 17-18 years then suddenly not...crazy. I'm not sure when I'll be able to go home again so it'll be nice to see them.

Well, I guess it's been a while since I've updated, so I probably should. Classes are keeping me super busy this semester. I have a paper due like, every day. I guess it's good practice tho considering I'm majoring in English. Hmm...what else. I have a meeting over at Kirkhof tomorrow night for sorority recruitment. I'm excited for that. Recruitment is the 23-25 so that'll be a fun weekend. Oo, I'm going to a Foo Fighters concert on October 6. I'm going with Chris. Well, he's going with me, I bought the tickets. :P It's at Van Andel. I've never been to a rock concert before so it should be a lot of fun. Tests start next week...iiiick! I can't belive it's going to be the 3rd week of school. O, note to self, go buy a poster at the poster sale! This week should go by pretty quick cuz I have a lot to do. Man, I wish I knew something exciting. I get to see my parents this weekend! They're coming over either Saturday or Sunday. I think that's exciting. It's Chris's birthday on Friday..that's exciting too. I um, had a nightmare last night. I don't like them because they just stick with me all day! :( Well, I guess I'll stop since I have such a boring life. I should prolly be getting to class to since it starts in 20 minutes. Ah, it's early. Well, not really but it is. So I didn't really do a whole lot yesterday. I made Rice Krispie treats and hung around outside since it was such a beautiful day. I must I must I must clean out my car today. I need to wash the windows because they're all filmy. So, I guess I'll do that later. I think Mummy and I might go to Linens and Things to begin to look at school stuff. Maybe not though, I dunno. I don't really know a whole lot. Well lets see...what have I been up to. Nothing really. Yesterday I just hung out around the house and read my book. Mom and I ran some errands and I had a doctors appointment. I had this stomach ache all day and I thought I was going to throw up when I went to bed last night. But I didn't so that was good. Chris and I went to Caribou last night and then Home Depot. I got to drive his mom's little convertable bug around. It was fun. Today I don't have too much going on. I'm just going to clean my car and read my book. It looks like its nice outside so I'll prolly read outside. What a revelation. Oo Cyndi called me last night! I miss her so much. I miss Missy too! I can't wait until I'm back at school so I can see them again. Well, I can wait, I like being home, but I miss my friends there too. Hmm hmm hmm..what else do I know. Nothing at all really. Chris and I are prolly going to go to the Stoney Creek fire works Sunday night. Maybe my parents will go too, I dunno. Well, a shower calls. Have a good 4th everyone!!

Last night I saw War of the Worlds with Chris. It was really good. You should all go see it. It's not scary like 'oh my gosh', but it's really suspenseful. It's not like anything just comes jumping out at you or anything either. I kinda actually want to go see it again. But we saw the preview for King Kong, that looks really good as well. Oh, and Willy Wonka. Raise your hand if you're excited for that movie? *Raises hand* I'm not sure if it will be good or not, but I'm still going to see it. I'm thinking that Johnny gets a little more normal towards the end of the movie cuz Willy Wonka does in the first one. Oh well, one can hope.
Let's see...today is my dad's birthday, so I'm going to bake him a cake here in a bit. I'm into this whole baking thing now. I made cookies yesterday...and that's all. Oh my gosh I cannot wait until the Harry Potter book comes out. It's been too long. I reread the last book a couple of months ago so it's fresh in my mind what happened. I got hooked on those things forever ago, now I have to finish reading them to see what happens. I can't believe there will only be 1 more book after this one. I'm curious to see how the movie that comes out in November turned out. I got Chris interested in the movies, so he can come see it with me. We'll be at school when it comes out. It's not like the movie is going to be a suprise for me considering I know how the book goes.
Oh, I almost got hit by a deer yesterday. I was driving to Kroger and he just ran out in front of me. I slammed on my breaks so I wouldn't hit the little piece of crap. I wasn't really about to hit it, but it was a close call. So that made me in favor of deer season. Before yesterday I felt bad for the things, but now, no...they need to be killed. There are just way to many of them. Or, maybe instead of killing them, we can just catch em, and dump them in Canada. I like that idea better. Stupid deer...

So tell me, why did I get up at 7:30 today. Why. I'm tired. I did not get enough sleep last night and I'm up at 7:30. Oh well, I'm going to make cookies later today. The sugar high from that will wake me up. I haven't really been up to much. I have changed my schedule around for the fall and winter and decided that next summer, I'm going to work at Bordines for the first half, then take classes at GVSU for the second half. I'm really excited to head back to school. I'm taking 16 credits, going to work-hopefully 2 jobs, and join a sorority. I really want to get out and get involved around school and I've met some really nice people that are in sororities (I think that's how you'd spell that word plural) and I'm going to do it. It's not like I'd live in the apartment complex or anything, mostly becuase I'm going to try to be an RA for next year, but it will give me a good chance to meet even more people. I can't believe I'll be going back in about a month and a half. So I guess Chris and I are going to see War of the Worlds tonight. I'm kinda nervous. I don't like scary movies and I think it's scary. :( I'm sure it's good, but I'll cry if it's scary. Well, not really, but I'll be upset. Ok, I'll update later when anything good happens to me or with a review of the movie!

Hola everyone!!

Summer is going super good for me. I love working at Bordines. I'm working my butt off, getting a tan-kinda, and leaning a whole lot about flowers that I would really rather not know. Plus I'm getting paid well. I don't think the job is going to last me thru the summer though, I'll prolly get let go around the end of June or something. No biggie though. I don't think I'll get another job, I'll just hang around the house and stuff.

I just watched the season finale of Lost-omgoodness I'm so excited for it to come back in the fall!! :D I can't wait for House to come back too. I'm so addicted to my tv shows, it's sad. It's what I look forward to when I come home from work though!

So I'm changing my major to English. I mean, why not. I got an A- in WRT 150, which I don't think a lot of people get. I'm a good writer and I love reading and english stuff, so why not go into it? My gpa is high enough to get accepted into the college of ed majoring in english, so I won't have a problem that way, it's just that I'll have to have a 3rd year profeciency in a foreign language. boo. Maybe I'll take up Italian and get a free trip to Rome...riiight. Silly Tony Danza. For those of you who didn't know, Tony Danza came to GVSU and gave a totally paid trip to Rome for the Italain class. Super cool huh? I'll prolly end up taking Spanish just cuz it's the best one, but I hated it in high school. Like hated it. Oh well. I guess I'll decide.

Chris came over for dinner tonight, then we went to Caribou and back to my house to watch Lost. I had a good day off. I'm really liking my schedule because I have to work: thur 1-9, fri 9-6, sat 1-9, off sunday, mon 9-6 and tues 9-6 then off wed. 2 days off is pretty good.

Lol, I just looked out the window and saw blue sky...dunno where that came from. It was cloudy like 2 minutes ago! Goodness, I cannot believe I have a week left of school. It's really weird to think that soon, I'll be home for the summer not having to worry about school work or anything. All I have to be doing is working and volunteering. I can handle that. Granted I'll be working everday for like 8 hours...but still. At least I'll get a tan! Or as much of a tan that I am able to get. I have really enjoyed this year a super duper lot. I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it as much next year with having a job and not having my weekends free but I'll be living with Melissa and hopefully Cyndi so that'll be super fun. I'll be taking classes that actually matter to me, rather than stupid gen eds cuz I don't have anymore to take. Woop woop.
I actually have a busy day today. I'm getting kinda sick of those. Right now I'm waiting to give a tour...that'll last till 1:30 or so. Then I'm not sure what I'll do...maybe my math review since tomorrow is our last class before our exam. It's so neat...I only have 2 exams to take! I already took my geo lab exam and I don't have one for writing 150 or education. So, I just have to take my geo lecture and math. Yipee. I know my math won't be hard, but I'm worried about geology. we do have two hours to take it and we can use our book and notes, but on my past tests in that class it hasn't made a difference...oh well. I'll do what I can.
I can't wait to go home to drive my car! I'm going to have to pry it away from my mom though since she's in love with the car too. Bah, I still have 25 minutes till my tour. It'll only take about 5 minutes to walk there...why can't it take 25?!
Well, I know nothing else. I'm going to have a boring weekend of studying, watching movies, and reading. Too bad the weather isn't going to be nice so I can't sit outside. Oooh well. To be updated in a couple weeks I guess.....good luck on exams everyone!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!! I know I had a good one. Lets see...what have I been up to...Friday I had a geology exam. It wasn't that hard, but it was hard enough. I'm thinking I got a C on it. That's ok with me...it's a hard class. Sheldon, Beth, and I left around 3 to go to State to pick up Chris. We picked him up, Chris was being immature as usual. So, I got home and saw my new car! It is so adorable! I'm in love. Wanna see the pictures?






Isn't she cute!? So, Mummy had dinner ready and it was super good. Then, we took a dirve in the new car. I fell in love. Then I got Chris and we drove around for a bit. I think he approves. I didn't get to sleep till late on Friday night. I just couldn't sleep and when I was asleep, I had nightmares...so I gave up. Saturday, I got up and mummy and I went to Michaels and Payless. I had to get supplies for my math project and then I saw on a commercial these super cute shoes at Payless, so I got them. They're those cute ballerina slippers shoe things...they're adorable! Then, we came home and I went to my interview and Bordines. I got the job there, so, I'm the newest employee at Bordines! I'm super excited. I begin May 2nd, the Monday after I get back from school. I hope I'll be able to work all summer, but they said they just might not need that many workers towards July and August, so we shall see. After that, Chris and I went to Caribou. I drove. Hee. That was fun. I like spending time with him. Then, mummy made roast beef for dinner...I had a craving for that. Then, the Weeks came over for drinks. Well, not like me and Chris had drinks, but our parents did. Then today, I drove back to school! Me! I drove here! Well, mummy and daddy were in the car too. They had to drive the car back home. There is no way I'm keeping the car here quite yet. It's too new and pretty to get all banged up. We had our Easter dinner at Famous Daves. They have super good bbq...it was amazing. So, we hung out here for a bit, and they headed home around 5. I just put away my stuff and finished my paper and watched Shark Tales which leads me to now. Other then that, I don't know anything else. Have a wonderful night everyone!

I had such a good day yesterday! I got up, went to breakfast and found out that I made Transitions. I'm going to be a Transitions leader next year! Yay! I'm excited. Being a Transitions leader has to be a whole lot better than actually being in Transitions. I thought it was boring last year, but I'll make it fun this year! So, I had class yesterday from 10-11:30, came back to my dorm and did some laundry so I don't have as much to lug home today. Then, I went to dinner with Melissa. Then, I had my Education class. I really enjoyed that class last night. We had a debate and my team kicked butt! Yea pro-standardized tests! I think we changed a lot of peoples minds in that class. It was a lot of fun. I was pretty worried about the debate because I didn't know what to expect, but by the time it was our turn, 2 other groups went before us and it was no problem. So, then I got back to my dorm and call my parents. They tell me to sit down. So I did, and the told me they bought me a new car! It's a Toyota Corolla LE in cactus mica. I'm so excited! My mom and I are going to share it until I need to take it to college. My mom is in love with it. I think they're going to sell or trade in the van and get another one for just her. But, I think that's a little down the road. So, I get to drive it when I get home tonight! :D I'm sooooo happy and excited. I guess my first payment is due today tho...:( lol.
I'm heading home with Sheldon and Beth in about a half hour. We're stopping by State to pick up Chris too. Other then that, I don't know anything. I don't have too much planned this weekend, just hang around home. I have to go to Michaels and pick up some stuff for my algebra project and that's it. I'm also driving the car around! :D So, I hope everyone has a good weekend and a safe trip home if you're going home!!

I was doing soo good up until now and then I got the flu and lost my will! Not sure when I'll begin again. I'm going to be giving tours 2-3 times a week now, and papers, and exams, and boo. I'll figure something out. It's not like it was making a difference in the way I looked, just gave me something to do. O well, if I get fatter I get fatter. :P I've been this same size for forever...didn't gain the freshman 15...I think I'm good. Until I have a bad day then I'll hate myself but I'll just deal with that when it comes now won't I? :D
So, I'm really excited about next year. It's going to be so much fun. Living right across from the field house and right by where my classes will be and living with cyndi, melissa, and tess...will be fun! I'm going to be the chef! :D Well, Cyndi too cuz hopefully her parents gave them their cooking genes cuz they own a chinese restaurant. :)

Well, I had a wonderful weekend. Chris came over. Friday night we took the bus downtown. We walked around there for a bit then decided to get some food at TGIFridays. I haven't been there in forever and it was super good. I had my chicken fingers that I love there and he had super good salmon with really good potatoes. :D (I enjoyed my share) Then, we went back to my dorm and just hung out. Saturday, we went to Grand Haven so he could get his gun fixed. We were there for about 4 hours or so cuz his gun was being difficult. I do have fun over there tho. Bill is such a nice guy, plus I think it's funny that there are people out there who enjoy airsoft even more then Chris does. So, he got that fixed. Then, we drove back and went to the mall. I really wanted to get some new blue jeans, but the mall was so busy and I didn't feel like spending 25 bucks on a new pair, so I settled for some tank tops that I needed from Kohls. Then, we came back to my dorm and watched some movies. Yesterday, we had breakfast at Fresh Food, then watched some more movies, took a walk, then he had to go back. So, it was a good weekend.
I shouldn't have that bad of a week this week. I have a geology exam on Friday...I'm not sure if that will be hard or not. I'm sure it will be, because he expects us to know as much about geology that he does. On Thursday, for my Ed. class, I have to debate about standardized tests. She put me in the pro standardized test group. Like I'm pro for those, come on...but, I'm sure we'll do fine and maybe even win. We have a lot of good points to bring up...I suppose there are some good aspects to standardized tests. Then, on Thursday, too, I find out if I made Transitions. I hope I did. It's money that I don't have to pay for college. I mean, I'll understand and not be upset if I don't make it. I am just a freshman and they might want more experienced people, but I do have the student ambassadorship backing me up. So, we'll see. I think I'd be able to move up a week earlier so that would be nice. I could get all settled before the rush hits. Heh. On the news right now they said that April thru August is the tornado time for Michigan. If the weather keeps up like this, I don't think we're going to have any tornados. I'm so sick of snow. Yesterday was the first day of spring, so the weather needs to change accordingly. Like, no snow!!

Ok. Now to begin with Sunday...
So, Chris took me back to GVSU Sunday morning. We stopped at Caribou, like we normally do, then headed off. We took a pit stop at State so he could drop his things off and put them away, then we were on our way to Grand Valley. We get here, bring up all my crap ( I had a super duper bunch) then went to Culvers for a hamburger. After dinner, he left. So, my evening went along ever so nicely until I began to get a stomach ache. I'm like, well yuck I hate stomach aches. Midnight roles around. I throw up everything I ate that day. It was FABULOUS! ARGH I HATE THE FLU!! At first I thought it was just the hamburger didn't agree with me or something, but then I began to ache and threw up a couple more times that night. I didn't sleep at all that night. I watched TV instead. I watched Ace Ventura, Wayne's World, QVC, Fairly Odd Parents, and Jimmy Neutron. Then, it was morning so I watched Golden Girls, The Nanny, and Young and the Restless. I slept thru most of those shows though cuz my stomach was feeling better. So, around 1:45, I went to the clinic. It took a whole lot of energy to get over there, but I made it. So, the doctor checks me out and tells me I need to watch my right side becuase all my symptoms are that of apendicitis (major sp?) minus the whole right side hurting thing. So, then he tells me I'm dehydrated and is going to give me and IV to replenish me. So, I get the IV put in then the shot in the butt comes. Lol. I'm like, I haven't gotten a shot in my butt since like, 1st grade! But, they wanted the shot to get thru my system quicker, that's why they did that. It was a shot to make me not nauseous anymore. But, that one made me really loopy and sleepy, so I had to call a friend from down the hall to walk me back to my dorm. I could have done it myself, but they didn't want me leaving along. So, I called. It was actually very relaxing having the IV in me. I just got to lay there without a care in the world. I was kinda cold tho. But, I felt so much better immediately after that. So, needless to say I had the 24 hour bug. I'm all better tho. I made it to class today. Thank goodness! I wasn't too far behind or anything...which is good.
I've figured out my schedule for next year. Now, I just need to register for them. Unfortunately, we can't register for about another week. No biggie tho. So, other then that, nothing much has been going on. I haven't had to take any more of the prescription the doctor prescribed to me that Dan ever so nicely took me to go get...he's a good friend. I still haven't had a complete meal yet tho...maybe tomorrow. We'll see. I tried to eat dinner tonight...I really did, but nothing looked good. I settled for rice. Well, I think a shower calls to me as does my nice warm bed. I know, I know, it's only 7, but I have grown a new fondness for my bed ever since I was in it for like 2 days straight. Hok, so it has been a while since I've updated. Hmm...where to begin...
I suppose I'll begin with tonight! :D I just got back from seeing a movie with Chris. We went and saw the Pacifier with the whole 20 people that venture out on a night like this. It was funny. I reccommend it. Before that, I had dinner. Quite yummmy...I love home-cooked food!! Then before that I hung out with Chris. I don't really remember what we did...o yea. He came over, ate a bologna, katchup (sp?), and mustard sandwich...looked nasty...then we went to see Mr. Groth, he's coaching the 8th grade volley ball team now. Then we went to Caribou. Saw Courtney Morgan. I swear, she's stalking me! I saw her yesterday too...lol. Then, before I hung out with Chris, I got up, went over to Mrs. Emery's and gave her a piano lesson, then went over to Bordines to apply for a job there. Mummy drove me over there and while we were coming back, our van decided to make super strange noises, so needless to say, it's in the shop right now. Who knows when we'll have it back and I have an eye doctors appointment tomorrow and we won't have a car and so I have to have Chris take me. He's such a great boyfriend. :)
So, I haven't really been doing anything much this spring break. Just kinda taking it easy and enjoying the luxery of home. I haven't been shopping or anything. Hee..
Well, other than that I'm as blank as a wall. I'm cooking with Chris tomorrow. Well, maybe. Depending on if we actually feel like making this thing I want to make. It's called Expresso Granita with whipped cream. I was watching the food network one day and the lady who hosts Everyday Italian made it and it looked so good! It's slushy coffee with sugar mixed in layered between whipped cream. Super easy so I think I'll be able to make it. Well, with the help of Chris of course.
Man, it's getting late for me! Almost 11. I can't handle it. I swear, next year, no classes before noon! Well, it's not like I'm really going to sleep in. Omg I'm so excited for next year! Me, Cyndi, Melissa, and Tess. We got Cyndi to make the super good Chinese food since her parents own a resturant and Melissa to make, um, whatever she wants, and me to do the same. :) I'll make the desserts or deserts...whichever one is the right one. :P I think it's desserts. :) Our apartment is going to be so cute! Mark my words, it will be pink! Well, as pink as I can make it... It's going to be so nice. Our bedrooms are bigger than the actual dorm rooms we're in right now. :D! I'm so excited to cook it's not even funny. I think I'm going to be taking classes downtown next year too. Our apartment is kinda right by the bus stop so that'll be good too. Well, I am going to have to take classes downn there considering the Education building is in downtown. I love cities. Grand Rapids is like a super small and not so fun New York City. By the way, I cannot wait to go back to New York City. Either we're all going to go this August or in December sometime. Chris, if you're reading this...August is my birthday month and December is Christmas and you know where Tiffany's is...so...get the hint? :D Just kidding..Well, not really...:P Acually, I don't know what I'd want from there. I mean, I'm sure I could find something and be super duper happy with it..but I dunno. I'll have to think about it. I do have the Tiffany web site in my favorites...heh. I love sparkly things what can I say?! I want to live in New York City one day. Have an apartment overlooking Central Park. That will happen when I'm all rich and famous. Riiight. I'll be rich on a teachers salary. Heh...in what life? I mean, it's not like teachers get paid that horribly, but they dont' get paid enough to live in a place overlooking central park. Or maybe I could live on 5th avenue...ok, I need to go look at my NYC pictures or I'll have a breakdown...
Well, I do believe that bed is calling to me now. Well, maybe I wont' go to sleep right away. I might watch a movie on my cute little dvd player. I love that think so much. It's just so handy! I can lay in bed, watch a movie right in front of my face on an 8 inch monitor. Just perfect!
